Overview

The objective of this role is to carry out administrative functions in support of NTIA, as described below. The tasks to be performed are directly related to achieving the NTIA mission areas.

Background

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), located within the Department of Commerce is the Executive Branch agency that is principally responsible by law for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues. NTIA's programs and policymaking focus largely on expanding broadband Internet access and adoption in America, expanding the use of spectrum by all users, and ensuring that the Internet remains an engine for continued innovation and economic growth. These goals are critical to America's competitiveness in the 21st century global economy and to addressing many of the nation's most pressing needs, such as improving education, health care, and public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage all financial aspects of field and/or task-level project performance.
  • Develop project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the cost-effectiveness of project activities and personnel allocations.
  • Manage vendor contracts and payments, ensuring deliverables are met within budget.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are within quality standards.
  • Identify financial risks associated with project activities and recommend mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

This role requires approximately 12 years of related experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.

Education

BS/BA degree in business, management or related field.
