Overview

The primary objective of this effort is to improve communication, coordination, and program oversight with Fisheries Financial Management Centers (FMC) points of contact across multiple specific and functional areas. This task order is intended to provide administrative, technical, training, and information technology design support to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

Background

At the heart of the NOAA Fisheries Service lies the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a strategic hub pulsating with activity. With its main base in Silver Spring, MD, and teams dispersed nationwide, OMB orchestrates the allocation of resources, fine-tuning budgets, and charting the course for success under the Department of Commerce's stewardship. Within this dynamic ecosystem thrives the Acquisition Services Division (ASD), a vital force propelling Fisheries Acquisition programs forward. From meticulous Google site upkeep to sleek graphic design and precise editing, ASD ensures every cog in the machinery runs smoothly. Meanwhile, their technical prowess and innovative training methodologies empower Fisheries personnel for peak performance. It's a journey marked by purpose and precision, where every action drives the Fisheries mission closer to its goals.

Responsibilities

  • Apply experience and judgment to select procedures and interpret items for data entry
  • Perform occasional routine tasks similar to Data Entry Operator I duties
  • Generate dashboards, graphs, and charts from financial reports using BAS and/or PRISM tools for leadership briefings
  • Develop a weekly dashboard summarizing contracting activity related to Inflation Reduction Act-funded contracts in NOAA Fisheries, incorporating automation
  • Create a bi-weekly dashboard summarizing all contracting activity in NOAA Fisheries for senior leadership, leveraging automation
  • Design flyers, posters, job aids, and guides for training and outreach events, utilizing provided subject matter content
  • Produce professional written reports with graphical elements using tools like Canva and Google Suite design templates
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop various information materials such as forms, labels, brochures, handouts, slides, posters, and presentation aids
  • Create visuals including logos, mastheads, and illustrations for articles in technical manuals, health journals, and publications
  • Utilize advanced desktop publishing, page layout, and/or typesetting software for high-quality textual and graphic compositions
  • Develop systems for scheduling and tracking requests for graphics/artwork to ensure timely completion

Qualifications

  • Approximately 2 or more years of related federal experience
  • Expertise in graphic arts and data visualization using Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
